Cadets are to be at Morris Academy, 52 Roosevelt Ave, by 10:00 am on Sunday in full uniform. Cadets can be picked up by the Memorial at St. David’s Field, on Ruth Ave by 11:45 am. Parents and family members are encouraged to attend the ceremony.
Our second on the water day will be this Saturday, June 23rd at Octagon Pond (8:30 am- 4:00 pm). Lunch will be provided. All cadets should be there if not, please fill out a leave request form.
Cadets can be dropped off the Sail Centre off McNamara Drive, Paradise (See attached map) Saturday, at 8:30 am. Cadets are to be picked up from the same location at 4:00 pm. Parents may be required to pick cadets up depending on the weather.
Your child should bring appropriate clothing for sailing.
- Water bottle
- Warm sweatshirts and warm pants or sweatpants
- Wool socks and extra pairs of sports socks
- 2 pair of footwear- 1 for land and 1 for sailing (preferably sneakers, have to be closed-toe shoes)
- Warm outdoor jacket. Rain coat and pants if they have it.
- No jeans are to be worn in the boats
- Cadets will get wet, a towel and extra clothes should be brought to the site
The Knights of Columbus are holding their annual end of year banquet on Wednesday June 20th and are looking for assistance to serve dinner. Cadets are required at 6:30pm in workdress. We are looking for 6-8 volunteers. If you are available please email kmacphee
Please be at Mount Pearl City Hall 6:30 PM in work dress, cadets can be picked up no later than 8:30pm.

We will still be going ahead with the car wash this morning. It’s chilly, so dress warm. We have waterproof gloves for the cadets, but they should also bring a rain coat, extra warm gloves and a hat. See you all soon!
Marconi will be hosting a car wash fundraiser this Sunday, 10 am -3 pm. It will located at 632 Topsail Road at Irving. Cadets are asked to dress warm, they can pack a bag with an extra sweater if needed.
Cadets are also asked to bring a non-perishable food item as the Mount Pearl local food bank is in serious need of donations. The cadets are broken into two shirts, please look below for when you are suppose to be present at the car wash.
Parents are encouraged to tell your family and friends of this event as the more support we have the better this fundraiser will do. Come give dad a break on Father’s Day and get your cadet to wash your car!!

Just a quick reminder that there is a parent’s meeting this evening 7:00 – 8:00 pm regarding Summer Training at MQW School. If your cadet has been accepted or has applied for Summer Training, please attend.
Cadets are encouraged to come as well, as Supply will be open for any exchanges and/or summer requirements. This will be the only opportunity before Summer Training.

Saturday-Sunday (June 9-10)– This weekend is our Spring Sail Weekend. Due to the sail center scheduling we are only able to take 10 cadets. Those cadets have been notified. Please see the attached letter for the sail weekend. Cadets will need to be dropped of 8:00 am at the Sail Center and picked up by 4:30 pm each day. Lunch is provided.
Monday (June 11)- Parents Meeting/ Camp Supply Night. All parents who cadet’s have been selected for camp or of cadets that applied are welcome to attend. The meeting is 7:00-8:00 pm at MQW School. Cadets who need anything from Supply are encourage to come during this time also. There will be NO regular cadets next week.
