For any cadets that are required to attend the Sail Weekend this coming weekend, your cadet would have brought home this letter on Monday. For your reference, please see attached.

Memorial Day parade

Hello everyone, Everyone is asked to be at Morris Academy at 10:00 on Monday morning in full uniform for the parade. Pickup will be at 1:00 at the St. David’s field. There will be hotdogs available at the legion as well.

Memorial Day Parade

Good Morning Everyone,

We have one last parade for the year.

Cadets are asked to meet at the Morris Academy on Roosevelt Ave at 10:00am on July 1st for the Memorial Day Parade.  Dress is full uniform. Pick up will be at around 1:00pm.

If any details are changed then a post will be made Saturday evening or Sunday.

Also,  as a reminder those cadets who are traveling to camp.  Travel is not usually released until the Wednesday (sometimes Thursday) before your scheduled weekend to leave.  As soon as we have the arrangements we will advise you 🙂

Sailing Weekend

284 Marconi will be attending a mandatory sail weekend 8-9 June 2019.  This training will take place at Octagon Pond in Paradise and is a mandatory part of their Sea Cadet Training.

We apologize for the delay, however please note that the orienteering originally planned for this weekend has been postponed until further notice due to unavailability of instructor.

Monday, June 3rd. We will be having cadets regular time and place. Wear clothing and footwear to have fun, as we will participate in fun activities. All cadets who have been selected to camp so far are asked to return your signed offers to the Admin O on this night.

Parents of phase 3 and above are asked to meet at the school on June 3rd to discuss the UK trip. Meeting will take place in the cafeteria.

A June calendar will be posted ASAP.

Important ACR practices

Upcoming ACR practices:

Saturday May 25th:
-Mandatory ACR practice 9:30am-4:00pm.
-All cadets will be provided lunch.
-very important ALL cadets are there as this is our final day before the big day!
-no uniform (cadets in PT display must be prepared)

ACR Day May 26th:
-cadets arrive for 9:00am in no uniform for the final run through. Pick up for morning session is 12:00pm.
-cadets will go home for lunch and to get prepared in uniform for the ACR.
-cadets are to return for 2:00pm dressed in full uniform. If they are in the PT display they must have the required clothing and footwear for this as well.

Parents and guests must be seated no later than 2:40pm for the ACR as it will begin at 3:00pm sharp. Please invite all family and friends that you would like. This is the time for our cadets to show off what they have been doing for he year. They have been working very hard and can not wait to show you!

No cadets on Monday May 27th!

Update for upcoming ACR practice.

Wednesday May 15th- Band Practice and remainder of cadets to complete uniforms 7-8:30pm at Gloria Pearson Center.  All cadets are to attend.  Band cadets please bring all band equipment.  All cadets please bring full uniform on hangers, as well as boots and polishing kits.

Saturday May 18th- ACR practice for all cadets at MQW 9:30am-11:30am. No uniform.  Important for all cadets to attend as time is getting close for the big day.

Monday May 20th-school is unavailable so please see date change below.

Tuesday May 21st-all cadets are to attend as this is the regular cadet night for this week. No uniform. Regular cadet time at MQW.

Attendance is of the upmost importance and we must be advised if unable to make it.  This is the cadets’ ACR and without attendance of all practice becomes difficult.

Reminder to all cadets that tonight is full uniform. Please make sure that you work hard on your uniform tonight! A decision will be made for uniform next week after inspection this evening. Also, if you are involved in the PT display, please bring sports clothes to change into (including sneakers).

It is very important that all cadets attend this evening as ACR is quickly approaching!!

Battle of Atlantic Parade

Please note that the Battle of Atlantic parade is May 5, 2019.  Attendance is very important and all cadets are asked to make every effort to be there and represent 284 RCSCC Marconi.

Meet no later than 9:45am in the RNC parking lot on Parade Street. Cadets will than need to be picked up at 1:30pm at the ALT hotel (corner of Jobs Cove and Harbour Dr.).

Dress is full uniform and bring parkas.  Watch social media that morning for any changes due to weather, etc.
