How Will You Remember?

The theme for this years Veteran’s Week is “How Will You Remember?”

Our cadet corps remembered the past by participating in local remembrance services and parades. A big thank-you to all cadets, officers, and staff who have given their time this week to ensure the our country’s history and veterans were honoured and remembered.

Thursday, November 10th
Petty Officer Second Class Jennifer Murphy and Chief Petty Officer Courtney Gray participated in the first guard/colour party presence at the Gonzaga High School Remembrance Service. It was held at St. Puis X Parish with a presence from both Marconi (Colour Party) and 2415 Gonzaga Army Cadets (Guard). A big thank you from Gonzaga’s staff was received for their presence, many faculty members mentioned how wonderful it was to have the cadets participating and how it was an important part of the service.

Friday, November 11th
Over 40 cadets, officers, staff, parents and alumni represented Marconi at the Mount Pearl Remembrance Service. The cadets looked great on parade with regards to both dress and deportment. The band sounded fantastic while maintaining seamless transitions between turns with the 807 Air Cadet Band. The officer division also looked great and was well represented.

Bravo Zulu and Thank-You to all!
